Jade Fritsch (FR/NL) is a designer, researcher, and sculptor.

As a design-based researcher, her practice operates between journalism and design research, rooted in vernacular architecture and geological narratives. Within this framework, she examines how political and social processes shape our relationship to land and affect individuals and communities. She examines how landscapes are narrated using editorial formats and spatial installations.

This practice is informed by people’s stories, sourced from fieldwork, archival artifacts, communication practices, rituals, and data.

As a sculptor, her research-driven practice transforms natural materials into living narratives, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary innovation. Her craft engages in a respectful dialogue with nature, where earth, body, and object converge to reveal hidden textures and stories that bridges functional design and organic sculpture. Inspired by the method of Tadelakt, organic forms emerge under her hands, reflecting connections between humanity and space, balancing reality and imagination.

Her objects go beyond function, shaping perception, challenging norms, and evoking emotion. Design, for her, is not merely aesthetics—it is storytelling, memory, and a deep engagement with the land.
